31 Dec Megaflatables Works With A League of Their Own

Megaflatables were lucky enough to work with the famous British sports-based comedy panel game that’s increased in popularity over the years, A League of Their Own.

Initially hosted by James Corden when it began in 2010 on Sky One, Romesh Ranganathan joined as a panellist from the thirteenth series before taking over as a host; and it’s now broadcasted on Sky Max. Over the years, it’s become famous for hosting an array of famous faces, with Jimmy Carr, Rob Beckett, and David Walliams being solid regulars and increasing the show’s popularity.

Those of you who aren’t familiar with A League of Their Own, where two teams of three, the red and blue teams, compete for points awarded across three rounds – those with the most points is crowned the winners.

The first round involves both teams ranking three different sportspersons according to a specific criterion. Round two is called the Guest List and involves both teams having to guess the answers given by a sportsperson about their sport. The final round, otherwise known as the Right Guard Challenge, sees two team members having to answer questions for as long as the third team member can sustain a physical challenge in the studio.

A League of Their Own is famous for its entertaining banter and comical value, with plenty of favourite comedians taking part – Kevin Bridges, Micky Flanagan, and Jack Whitehall, to name but a few.

How Did Megaflatables Get Involved This Year?

This year, Christmas parties might not be going ahead, but The League of Their Own boys weren’t going to let a global pandemic stop their festive fun. Megaflatables got in on the action too.

Megaflatables are one of the market leaders in inflatable advertising. On the 13^th of December, the show broadcasted its Christmas special. Megaflatables were privileged to supply the set with an inflatable arch, giant baby, and buoys.

How Did the Inflatables Make the Show More Interesting?

The inflatables we provided the show were on brand and a great addition to the challenges undertaken. We had a Christmas themed giant baby, on the water alongside the panellists taking part in the water sports in this Christmas special. Each team had red and blue buoys and an inflatable arch installed at the finish line.

Not only did our inflatables make the fun and games more interesting for the team players, but also more visually exciting for audiences at home!
