What Did the Black Heart Symbolise?

The inflatable heart was customised with Amy’s personal signature. According to a release, it was said to “represent the love” that Amy “poured into the making of Back to Black and its emotional connection in the hearts of music fans across the world.

With the tragedy of her death in July 2011 at the age of 27 due to alcoholism at her home in Camden, fans gathered at the home, leaving gestures of love and compliments to the artist. The outpour of love among fans goes to show the impactful mark her music had on those who fondly listened.
