We were thrilled to support LEGO’s big event, the opening of the world’s largest LEGO store in London. Our involvement included designing and bringing to life 3 giant LEGO bricks (red, yellow, and blue) which traveled across the city to drum up excitement and get everyone talking about the grand opening. The celebration was not just for the expansion of the Leicester Square store, but also for LEGO’s 90th birthday. This milestone was the perfect opportunity for LEGO to show their appreciation for their loyal fans in the UK.
The store offers a truly unique experience for visitors of all ages. The 3D builds will tell stories inspired by British culture, providing a fun and interactive experience for everyone who walks through the doors. There will also be hands-on play experiences, allowing visitors to let their imaginations run wild and build their own creations. In addition, a dedicated “90 Years of Play” walkthrough has been created to celebrate LEGO’s 90th birthday and reflect on their long history of providing endless hours of fun and creativity.
Natali Stojovic, head of LEGO Retail, expressed her excitement for the store opening and thanked UK fans for their passion and support of the LEGO Group. “We have many loyal fans in the UK and we’re looking forward to thanking them for their passion by giving them the world’s biggest LEGO store on their doorstep,” said Stojovic. “It will be so much more than just a store, it will be a place where families can come together, be creative and have fun.”
