Megaflatables was commissioned to design and produce a striking visual centrepiece for a British Airways “Winter Sun” activation at Battersea Power Station. The goal was to create something bold, engaging, and visually impactful that would draw attention within the busy retail and leisure environment.
Inspired by warmth, travel, and destination appeal, the concept focused on a giant inflatable sun—a bright, uplifting installation designed to stand out and create a welcoming atmosphere. The piece needed to be both eye-catching during the day and equally impactful in the evening.
We designed and manufactured a 4-metre inflatable sphere, finished in a vibrant sun-inspired colour. To enhance its presence, the structure was fitted with internal Lighting, allowing it to glow beautifully and maintain strong visual impact throughout the day and night.Installed at the iconic Battersea Power Station, the inflatable sun became a focal point within the space. Its scale and lighting created an inviting ambience, drawing visitors in and naturally encouraging engagement and interaction.
The final installation delivered a warm, vibrant centrepiece that aligned perfectly with the British Airways brand. The illuminated sphere added energy to the environment, enhanced the overall customer experience, and created a memorable visual moment for visitors.
