Megaflatables created 6 metre helium-filled inflatable cartoon characters of footballers Mo Salah and Vivianne Miedema for Adidas. The oversized figures gave the brand a bold, eye-catching presence and showed how sporting icons can be immortalised in inflatable form.
Adidas needed two of its sponsored football stars, Mohamed Salah and Vivianne Miedema, brought to life as giant 6 metre helium-filled inflatable heads to support the launch of the adidas X Speedportal boots. Rather than photo-realistic likenesses, the brief called for cartoon versions matching the players’ animated appearance from the adidas x Rick and Morty campaign, so the characters had to be instantly recognisable while staying faithful to that stylised look.
Megaflatables provided a complete, turnkey service across every stage of the project.
We adapted the players’ Rick and Morty-style cartoon likenesses into giant 6 metre inflatable heads, ensuring Mo Salah and Vivianne Miedema stayed instantly recognisable.
Using durable materials and high-definition printing, we produced two giant 6 metre helium inflatable heads with accurate cartoon detail and faithful likenesses.
Our team managed the full project lifecycle, coordinating design, production and delivery to ensure everything ran smoothly for Adidas.

The installation transformed the Adidas activation into a bold, immersive space. The giant inflatable heads brought energy and personality into the space, but more importantly, they had that instant “wow” factor. Inflatables just work for this, they’re big, unexpected, and hard to ignore. People notice them straight away, and more importantly, they remember them. They also photograph really well. The scale, colour, and soft forms make them perfect for social content, so people naturally stop, take photos, and share them without being asked. It turns the space into something more than just a display, it becomes part of the experience. As a result:
