Megaflatables created 500 branded inflatable bananas for Channel 4’s Manchester Pride promotion for Channel 4. The playful inflatables gave the campaign a highly visible, memorable presence throughout the Pride celebrations.
Channel 4 needed a fun, portable promotional item to support the launch of Cucumber, Banana and Tofu around Manchester Pride. The brief called for 500 bright yellow PVC bananas carrying clear Channel 4 branding and campaign messaging on both sides.

We developed a simple, recognisable banana design that could carry Channel 4 branding and launch messaging clearly on both sides.

The installation transformed the Channel 4 activation into a bold, immersive space. The branded inflatable bananas brought energy and personality into the space, but more importantly, they had that instant “wow” factor. Inflatables just work for this, they’re big, unexpected, and hard to ignore. People notice them straight away, and more importantly, they remember them. They also photograph really well. The scale, colour, and soft forms make them perfect for social content, so people naturally stop, take photos, and share them without being asked. It turns the space into something more than just a display, it becomes part of the experience. As a result:
