Megaflatables created a 4 metre inflatable tomato for Eat Drink Discover Scotland. The oversized food-themed display created an immediate visual connection with the event’s celebration of Scottish food and drink.
Eat Drink Discover Scotland needed a bold inflatable centrepiece that would instantly communicate the food-led nature of the event. The design needed to be playful, highly visible and suitable for a busy public event while remaining true to the simple tomato concept.

We developed a simple giant tomato concept that connected immediately with the food-led nature of the event.
The 4 metre tomato was manufactured in high-grade PVC with full digital printing.

The installation transformed the Eat Drink Discover Scotland activation into a bold, immersive space. The 4 metre inflatable tomato brought energy and personality into the space, but more importantly, it had that instant “wow” factor. Inflatables just work for this, they’re big, unexpected, and hard to ignore. People notice them straight away, and more importantly, they remember them. They also photograph really well. The scale, colour, and soft forms make them perfect for social content, so people naturally stop, take photos, and share them without being asked. It turns the space into something more than just a display, it becomes part of the experience. As a result:
